Steven V. Melnik, LLM (Tax), J.D., CPA, aside from being a professor, has recently been honored by being appointed as Director of graduate Tax and Estate Planning Programs and Chairman of Continuing Education, under Zicklin Seminars, for The City University of New York (CUNY).
Mr. Melnik has also been honored by the Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer as well as in cooperation with Mayor Michael Bloomberg by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz as a distinguished member of the New York's community.

Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, the Russian American Foundation and the
Daily News will host a celebration of the 8th Annual Russian Heritage Festival with a ceremony honoring distinguished members of the community.
Honorees include:
The 8th Annual Russian Heritage Festival, a citywide celebration of the many cultural and economic contributions of the Russian-speaking community in New York, is produced by the Russian-American Foundation and presented by the Daily News, in cooperation with Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the City of New York.
The gathering will be held in memory of Boris Rabiner, a veteran of World War II and former host of RTN's
The Round Table, and a presentation will be made to his family and the Starrett City Jewish Association in his memory.
An official delegation from Moscow is scheduled to attend, led by poet Andrey Dementyev and
Nikolay Zyatkov, editor-in-chief of publishing house Argumenty I Fakty.
